Rotary Club of Los Angeles (LA5) donates financial gift to Society's Council of LA

Dr. Carmen Estrada-Schaye (l) of the Rotary Club of Los Angeles (LA5) presents a $5000 check to David Fields, executive director of the Society's Council of Los Angeles.

The Society's Council of Los Angeles on Friday received a $5,000 donation from the Rotary Club of Los Angeles (LA5) to help purchase appliances for its new family housing project on Virgil Street near Hollywood.  The new housing complex is scheduled to open later this year.  

SVdP celebrates Mardi Gras in style!

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul's Council of Los Angeles held its 2nd Annual Mardi Gras celebration on February 21, 2012 in downtown L.A. Proceeds raised benefit the Society's new Family Housing Program for homeless women and children.
