Sister Alice Marie Quinn, D.C., R.D., was honored by close to 200 individuals on May 7 for her tremendous work with local homebound seniors at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s Fourth Annual ‘An Evening with the Society’ at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City.
Sr. Alice Marie, founder of St. Vincent Meals on Wheels and a member of the Daughters of Charity, said in receiving her award, “It’s really a great honor for me and my team at Meals on Wheels to be honored by our good friends at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.”
The evening also included a reception, silent and live auctions, dinner, entertainment and dancing. Sylvia Lopez form KCAL 9 News served as the emcee. Proceeds from the evening will support the Society’s Cardinal Manning Center (shelter) on Los Angeles’ Skid Row and its Circle V Ranch in Santa Barbara.
