The 2nd Annual Hike for the Homeless will take place on April 28th at beautiful Griffith Park in Los Angeles.
Adults, students and pets on leashes can hike the 2.64-mile Fern Canyon Trail or 2-mile Old Zoo trail at their own pace, beginning at 8:15 a.m. near the Merry-Go-Round lot. Griffith Park includes many attractions and is the largest municipal park with urban wilderness in the USA.
Registration is just $30 for adults, $20 for students and youth (ages 6-18) and $5 for pets, with proceeds benefitting the Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s Cardinal Manning Center and its work with homeless individuals. Registration includes a t-shirt, refreshments and a light breakfast. Various sponsorship packages are also available.
