Society executive director David Fields spoke about the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Council of Los Angeles' charitable works to the Glendale Kiwanis Friday, July 19, 2013.  Fields was warmly greeted by 75 Kiwanis including Jim Dyrness, a Vincentian volunteer at Incarnation Catholic Church in Glendale.  Fields was a guest of long-time Kiwanis member Louie Sadd, whose Datastream company provides IT and web services to the Society's Los Angeles Council. Glendale Kiwanis president Mercy Velazquez presented Fields with a speaker's plaque of appreciation following his talk. Valazquez also gave Fields and Society deputy director of public relations Chris Sariego leaves to place on the "Grow Kiwanis Planting the Seeds of Service" Tree symbolizing working together for the good of the community.
