THRIFT STORE'S CAROLYN SANCHEZ GETS G.E.D.

Society of St.Vincent de Paul, Council of Los Angeles' L.A. thrift store production supervisor Carolyn Sanchez received her High School Equivalency Certificate recently. Sanchez said the hardest part of getting her certificate was trying to study after a full day of work. "Geometry was hard," she said, "The highest I went was pre-Algebra." Sanchez was honored at the Society's spring Employee Appreciation Lunch with a framed copy of her certificate and was given a raise.  Sanchez said, "It makes me feel good that I completed it. Now I am looking into college classes. It keeps your brain from being rusty!" Congratulations Carolyn!
