Former L.A. Council PR Representative Josie Cabiglio Passes Away
It is with tremendous sadness that the L.A. Council announces the passing of Josie Cabiglio, who spent more than five years as this Council's public relations representative. Though the cause of death is unknown, Josie was a diabetic and wore an insulin pump.
During her time with the Society, Josie helped advance the Council's PR efforts locally, and also was a member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul's national PR committee. In addition, she assisted with the translation of bios and information on Vincentian Saints from Italian to English.
Josie passed away in her home Wednesday evening as she was preparing to attend an event at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, where she had been involved for the past five years.
The L.A. Council's prayers are with Josie's family. Funeral arrangements are pending.
