Ursula H. Hyman named to Council board
The Council is proud to introduce Ursula H. Hyman to its board.
Ursula is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins and has practiced with the firm since 1983. She currently leads the firm’s Public and Tax-Exempt Financing practice group.
Ursula represents a variety of entities in their various roles in financing, including tax-exempt organizations, real estate developers, issuers, underwriters, banks, bond insurers and land owner associations. She also participates in governmental discussions on behalf of her clients and closely monitors local, state and federal legislative developments.
This Southern Californian is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of California, the L.A. County Bar Association, the National Association of Bond Lawyers and the California and L.A. Women’s Lawyers Association. She also is a founding member of the Ad Hoc Committee on Chapter 9 Reform.
Ursula was named in the 2004-2009 editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law and Who’s Who of American Women. In 2006, she was nominated by the L.A. Business Journal for the annual Women Making a Difference award while, last year, she was recognized by the Century City Chamber of Commerce Women’s Business Council as one of their Women of Achievement for 2008.
This Council is fortunate to have a leader on its side like Ursula, whose expertise will help enhance its outreach for the betterment of children and families.
