Longtime Council Vincentian named Deputy Executive Director
The L.A. Council is happy to announce that David Fields, a longtime Vincentian, has been named its new Deputy Executive Director.
David, who has been a Vincentian for 15 years, has held several positions as a volunteer. These include: President of the St. Elizabeth Conference in Altadena, San Gabriel District President, Chairperson of the Conference Concerns Committee, and member of both the L.A. Council Board and Executive Committees.
David’s most recent professional position was as an Operations Manager with Bovis Lend Lease, a construction management company. Prior to working for Bovis Lend Lease, David worked at Xerox Corporation for 25 years. He held various management positions in Supply Chain Management, Distribution and Logistics. Prior to working with Xerox, he had careers in teaching and the retail grocery industry.
David is a graduate of UCLA and has a teaching credential from California State University Los Angeles. He is married with two adult sons, and enjoys gardening, jazz and photography.
David is very excited about his new position, as he considers this an opportunity to pursue a career interest that is very dear to his heart.
David’s first order of business will be to learn every aspect of our organization. He will be making the rounds spending time in each department and with each District Council. Please afford him your time and knowledge in his further pursuit in understanding our Council and it’s operation.
