Eva Alanis, a 26-year-employee of the Society’s Los Angeles thrift store retired today. The Society’s executive director David Fields praised Alanis’ hard work ethic and pleasing personality. “She is an example to us all,” he said. Alanis and her fellow employees celebrated with a cake. Upon receiving her goodbye gift, Alanis remarked on all her years, “Thanks for putting up with me!”
