Lunch with a Legend benefits future shelter computer lab
Yesterday's Lunch with a Legend with John Robinson, former USC Trojans and Los Angeles Rams head football coach, helped raise funds for a future computer lab at the Council's Cardinal Manning Center.
Proceeds from a special raffle, featuring USC memorabilia - including an autographed photo of Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush and a Joe McKnight autographed mini helmet - went to the Society, as the organization looks to open a state-of-the-art computer lab in the near future. The new lab will not only benefit residents at the shelter, but also the homeless on Skid Row.
The Society is still in need of $10,000 to help furnish and make the computer lab a reality. For more information, or to make a tax-deductible donation, please call 213-229-9970.
