The Council will hold the Grand Opening of its Long Beach Thrift Store at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 25 at its new facility, 2750 Pacific Coast Highway (former site of Al Greenwood's Bedspread Kingdom).
Most Reverend Alexander Salazar, D.D., V.G., Auxiliary Bishop of the San Pedro Pastoral Region, will bless the new store, which underwent major renovation prior to opening on June 1.
Also scheduled to attend are Long Beach Mayor Bob Foster and Long Beach City Councilmember Patrick O'Donnell, Fourth District.
Free refreshments will be available, and the James Gentry Quintet will provide Jazz entertainment. In celebration of the new store, from 1:30-3:30 p.m., every shopper will receive a 10% discount on his/her total purchase.
